Off to Gammy's

Benji has been asking Gammy to help him put on one of his plays, as she is an "experienced" actress. On Sunday, we moved rehearsal to her house to save her from having to trek out in the rain.  Benji was prepared with all of his props:

After a very successful rehearsal, Gammy attempted to introduce the kids a little more to her dogs.  Abby would have none of it, but Benji seems to have enjoyed the visit:

African American History Month

Benji's class helped to make an African-American history museum in the Greenbrier library. He was very proud to show us his work:

New Colors

Abby has definitely matured a lot this year, and she has just started asking about updating her room, which we decorated when we first moved in to the house, just before she turned 4. Kevin and I agreed that it is time (*sniff*) and off we went to Lowes to look at paint colors:

She is taking her choices very seriously. She's decided on a deep purple accent wall and light turquoise for the rest of the room, as these are her two favorite colors.  Now, to hire painters or attempt this ourselves...

We celebrated on Sunday by going to CBI's Purim Play and Carnival. It was PJ party themed:

Abby enjoyed the show but opted out of the fair this year. Benji had a great time, though, especially at the donut-eating contest:
