Fall Fun Fair

Abby's school had it's annual Fun Fair last weekend. The new event this year was pony rides, which everyone was excited about. Benji was not thrilled with the helmet:

But loved the ride:

Abby is an old pro at this:

Playing Magna-tiles

One of the few things they will consistently play together:

Benji, he says he is "making closets on his house":

Doing a little jig (nothing to do with the tiles, but too cute not to capture):

Trip to the Farm

We took our Daisy Troop out to Greenfield Farm for a field trip. Beautiful day for it. Here are the girls posing by the entrance:

We started with a hay ride:

Followed by the hay maze:

And finally a visit to the animals:

Someone was all tuckered out after the excitement:

Columbus Day

Since Abby and Mary were both off for Columbus Day, we brought them into the office to sell their Girl Scout candy. They passed the rest of the day trading silly bands and coloring. Mary taught Abby to play War, which they are doing here, very intently:

The Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to Afton on Sunday to visit our favorite pumpkin patch. After a very satisfying hay ride, we set out to find the perfect pumpkin:

There were a lot to choose from:

Benji thought this one looked about right:

But Abby wanted something bigger:

And then even bigger:

Benji was somewhat insistent that the pumpkin be his size:

After significant testing of pumpkins, he needed a break:

Abby convinced him to look at a few she liked. Here they are deep in conversation (sort of):

Maybe the best way to make a decision is to sit on them?

Oh, wait, I can't lift this one:

What if we get an Abby sized one and a Benji sized one? The kids, sitting on their respective pumpkins:

The winners:

Now off to load these things into the car:
