Rally to Support the March on Washington

Abby and I really wanted to travel to DC, but we decided to stay local because of some conflicting plans. The rally in Charlottesville was VERY well attended -- over 2,500 people (Charlottesville also sent 8 charter buses to the rally in DC) and a lot of fun:

We held our first one at Lowes on Saturday. Sold 130 boxes, which is mediocre for the first day, but the girls had fun:

At Benji's den meeting last weekend, the boys practiced using hammers, nails, and screws. They built rubber band guns and were very excited with the results:

Gammy's Birthday Weekend

To celebrate Gammy's 70th birthday on January 18th, we had a couple of fun outings. First, on Friday night, we went to an escape room, followed by a quick dinner at Christian's and a screening of Hidden Figures at the Regal, which we all loved:

We made it out in 52 minutes, which the staff said was "very good"

On Saturday, Josh, Kathy and the kids drove down from NY and we had dinner at the Melting Pot. We were all ready a little early, so we took some family pictures while we were waiting to leave:

Snow Day

It snowed at the end of the first week back to school, on Friday night, unfortunately, which made a mess of our Saturday plans but did not cancel school on Monday (the kids did get a 2 hour delay). Still, they were excited to get out and play in it on Saturday morning:
