I've been working on my crochet, mostly in the form of amigurumi (cute small crocheted stuffed things). I made this mug of hot cocoa last week and then, the day I finished it (Friday) I ordered gelato for the weekend and decided to gift it to PK, the owner of our favorite gelato shop. She in turn has made it an Instagram personality named Muggins:

The girls went to the library on Saturday to get some schoolwork done and sent pictures:
I've been crocheting up a storm since Christmas and I finished this hippo amigurumi project. Benji claimed the hippo is Blue Henry's cousin and they immediately got into a stare down:
We had a big snowstorm last week, but we were still recovering from break and it was cold and we never made it outside to play. We got a second chance this week with a slightly smaller and sleet-ier storm, and this time we made it out to the sledding hill and made a front-yard snowman. We did also try snow angels, but the snow was too stiff and crispy to wave your arms and legs around so they looked more like snow corpses:
We decided to try to make this milestone birthday feel more party-like, so we went all out on the decorations. We also made a special playlist of music Gammy has liked starting in the 1950s through the 1990s (when she says she stopped listening to popular music), had a special dinner from Bizou, answered some Gammy trivia and finished with a carvel cake (her pick) and a game of Tripoley:
We usually stick to mini-cupcakes ("half" cupcakes) but for Abby's last half-birthday at home we let her pick the treats, which were chocolate mousse domes and peanut butter pie from Wegmans:
A bucket list item for this month. We did foil packets and followed up with s'mores (made with biscoff cookies and gelt instead of graham crackers and hershey bars because that is what we had in the house):
Grandpa Steve sent Benji a box of mementoes from his time doing computer conferences. Benji was fascinated and is still re-reading lots of the promotional material and marveling over it:
Abby's very sweet friend Elisabeth dropped off a fun box celebrating her admission to Dartmouth (she did not really get the Bog Green mascot so used a broccoli to represent it):
