We had not had a chance to visit Abby's artquest exhibit on the downtown mall, so we made a stop there with grandma and pop-pop on Friday. Here she is with her superhero portrait:

Grandma and Pop-pop came to visit this weekend. They arrived on Thursday, and we dragged them out to Carter's Mountain for the views, music and some ice cream:

Piano Recital 2016

The kids had their end-of-year piano recital last night. It was Benji's first and likely Abby's last (she said she would like to continue playing but is done with recitals). They did a duet together and each had individual pieces. I did not get any good pictures of them on the piano (the angle was bad), but a few from before:

Surprise Holiday

Greenbrier called in the wee hours of Tuesday morning to report that they would be closed due to a power outage. Benji and I had an unexpected day off and he chose to go ... bowling:

Hairwash and a cut

Benji's hair grows so fast, he needs a hair cut every 4-6 weeks. When I took him last week, he had gotten sweaty running around, so they washed it first.  Benji had never had this experience before and thought it was hysterical (and tickly):

Mother's Day 2016

We got back from Annapolis mid-day on Sunday so that we could have time to celebrate Mother's Day with the kids and Gammy. The kids had some wonderful presents ready:

We went to see Zootopia in the afternoon, followed by dinner on the Downtown mall in the beautiful weather.

Kristin's 40th Birthday

This weekend, Kevin and I slipped away for an adults-only weekend in Annapolis to celebrate our friend Kristin's 40th birthday.  I just snapped a few quick picks, but it was a lot of fun to reconnect with some old friends and enjoy the beautiful city:
