 This was a November bucket list item. We held it for when Abby was home, but then went to First Watch her first morning in Cville:

Maggie Walker National Historic Site

 Last Saturday, we drove to Richmond to pick Abby up from the airport. We decided to head out a little early and visit an NPS site we had long been meaning to see. Maggie Walker was the first black woman to found and be president of a bank, and she had a big role in African American history in both Richmond (as the Queen of Quality row) and in the US generally (she sat on the national board of the NAACP). Her house on Quality Row in Richmond is preserved as an historic site:

Hamlet!

The American Shakespeare Center (Blackfriars) in Staunton was putting on Hamlet, one of our favorites, so we asked Benji if he would like to see it. He readily agreed, so we trooped over there on its closing night (the Friday before Thanksgiving week):

Dartmouth Engineering Expo

 Abby sent us a picture from the expo day for her class. Her group's project was windshield wipers for ski goggles:

Randow Row Trivia Night

Since Gammy is out of town, we decided to go out for Sunday night trivia with friends. It was super crowded -- 22 teams playing -- and we managed to nab second (meaning there was a picture -- the top two teams win prizes and have to pose for a photo). My eyes are closed, but I still like the picture:
