We made it to Nashville later than we hoped Friday night, but our friends Aimee and Mike had prepared a beautiful dinner and suggested we spend some time in their pool to relax and unwind before eating. The kids were happy to comply (most of these photos are from the phone and not very good, but better than nothing):

After the kids were tucked into bed, we had some "adult" time to catch up:

| Mike is a wiz with cocktails. He made us a flaming scorpion bowl |

Saturday morning, Aimee and Mike offered to tour us around their favorite Nashville spots, which seemed like a good idea:

| In Leiper's Fork |
 |
| Outside the Ryman |
 |
| Inside the Ryman |
 |
| The Goo Goo Factory |
After a lovely pizza dinner at DeSano, we headed back to the house for a little more hanging out. Mike got out his potato gun and let everyone shoot it (they have 2 acres, so plenty of room):
We said our goodbyes on Sunday and made our way to Cave City, Kentucky, with a quick stop in Bowling Green to meet up with some more friends (who actually live in Nashville but were travelling back from Indiana, so we met in the middle):

We got to Cave City by bedtime and hit the sack right away so we'd be refreshed to start our exploration of Mammoth Caves on Monday.
