Abby has been participating in Buford's engineering academy this year. This is a one-of-a-kind program supported by UVA and a grant from the Smithsonian. The kids form the "presentation corps" for the Smithsonian's invention kits this year. So far, they have presented to the Smithsonian's National Advisory Board and several school superintendents. Last week, they travelled to DC to present at the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education Conference (SITE). Next month, Abby and Elisabeth will fly to Atlanta to present at ITEEA:
