We had a much lower key April Fools' Day than last year, but Benji would have been sad if we skipped it entirely. Abby and I thought it would be funny if the google eyes made an appearance again. Benji woke up while we were sticking them, though, so was more grumpy than silly about it:
Kevin had the great idea to switch the cream cheese (which Benji uses every morning) for whipped cream. He deliberately put the rigged container up front in the fridge and the rest hidden in the back, but Benji somehow missed it and dug out another. When he found it at lunch (with prompting) he was amused, though:
The only prank that really landed was setting an alarm on an old iphone to go off at 7am and "rick roll" him (play Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley). After he left his room in the morning, I reset it and hid it at the lunch table. Benji had his revenge and planted it near my desk in the afternoon, where it went off for 15 minutes before I finally found it:
The blog will be inactive next week for spring break, but will be back April 12th.
