The leaves changed color late this year, so we delayed going to Shenandoah until the very end of the month. Abby had to stay home to work on college applications and it was pretty windy, so we were not too sad when the hike we chose turned out to be shorter than expected at just a mile and a half. Stony Man was a great viewpoint to see the maybe just slightly past-peak foliage:
