On our first full day in Jasper, we woke up early and had a little time to kill before the Kayandes were stirring. Abby and I walked over to the Athabasca River, just a road over from our cabin, and watched the sun rise a bit:
After the boys got up, we walked back to show them the sight and then chilled for a little bit at our cabin:

Once we got going for the day, we drove an hour back down the Icefields Parkway in order to visit the Columbia Ice Field (which we had passed the day before when it was too late to stop). Our first stop en route was Tangle Creek Falls, which had some fun climbing opportunities for the kids:

After the falls, we made it to the icefields exploration centre, which had great views:

We had some time to kill before our bus trip onto the glacier, so we decided to hike to the glacier toe:
