We were all invited (well,, we may have invited ourselves) to Alex's office for the evening fireworks on the National Mall. The older girls spent the afternoon getting themselves dressed up:
The little kids had to be cajoled into any clothes at all, but don't they look cute?
Before we left, we tried for a group shot outside (fail), but I did get a couple cute pics of the 4 kids together:
And then we piled into the mini-van and were off:
The kids had fun partaking in the party at the office, complete with food, drink and a cookie decorating station:
The view from Alex's office was excellent and we had fun snapping pictures while we waited for dark:
Sadly, right before the fireworks started, a fog also rolled in. The very clear view we had when we took these pictures was completely obscured, and this is what we saw:
