We had the day of the 5th to see a little more of Detroit before heading to Ann Arbor. We started with a tour of Michigan Central, the historic train station being renovated in the center of the city. The restoration is still a work in progress, so it was neat to see both what is finished and what remains to be done. Our tour guide was an historian and did an excellent job mixing architecture with stories of the city:

After the tour, we headed down to Cullen Plaza to take a riverboat tour, something Kevin really wanted to do:

After the cruise, we headed to Ann Arbor where we settled in to our hotel and eventually picked up Abby, Julia and Drew for dinner:
