Making Mud Pies

The weather here has been hot, hot, hot. Upper 80s and 90s almost every day, and the kids have been begging for the pool, which is, of course, not open yet. We finally dragged out the sprinkler and water table to pacify them. After about 20 minutes, however, water play became mud play. Benji, in particular, really dove in. Here are some action shots:

It's fun to see the kids playing side by side. I love this picture of them concentrating hard on their task (you can also see how very much they look like each other in profile)

Doing Good

Abby's Sunday school class has been collecting tzedakah (money for the needy) each week in class. They voted on where to donate the funds, and the SPCA was the winner (no shock that a bunch of five years old wanted to help the cuddly animals). They spent this week's class writing a letter to the SPCA with suggestions on how to spend the money. Here they are proudly displaying the results.

Fairy Party

Abby's friend Isabel had a fairy-themed birthday party on Saturday, so of course the girls were in 7th heaven. The decor and crafts were so cute, I had to snap a few pics:
