Halloween 2015

Almost a week late, but here are our photos.

Abby invited a friend over to trick-or-treat, so I made some appetizers:

Fall Into Reading

The night before Halloween, Walker held a "Fall Into Reading" event, which was basically a glorified Halloween carnival with a literary theme.  The kids were asked to dress as a character from a book, which Abby declined to do. Benji happily wore his Charlie Brown costume, which fit right in. Abby did ask for my cat ears, which she wore happily all evening while she walked around with her friends:

Running with the Pack

Benji earned his first two belt loops this week in cub scouts, and boy was he excited! He is wearing a cape because this was a superhero themed meeting, with visits from two firefighters and a fire dog. He loved it all:

The Cohens Come to Town

Kristin, Jono, Will and Ella rolled into town a week before Halloween so that the adults could attend an Avett Brothers concert.  They were able to stick around for a little while Saturday for lunch and a trip to Adventure Farms in Earysville (Abby and I could not go to the farm because of a girl scout commitment, but everyone else had fun):

I think the outtakes were better than the final product

At the Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch the weekend before Halloween. It was a beautiful fall day and there were still plenty of pumpkins on the vine:

Benji carefully inspected every round pumpkin (he likes round, not tall ones)

Abby just wanted a big one with no dirt on it

We didn't plan the orange shirt, but he blended right in!

Abby finally chose this one
