Benji asked us to put the net back up and we have been enjoying it in the cooler temperatures:

Rosh Hashanah 2021
CBI decided to have limited in-person services this year (also broadcast on Zoom) and we were one of the families lucky enough to get a pew for the morning service. We got dressed up and the kids kindly allowed me to take some pictures:

Erev Rosh Hashanah 2021
For the first time in memory, the evening of Rosh Hashanah fell on Labor Day. That made for a relaxed day of getting food ready in between other activities. Abby and I made two challah from scratch, letting the dough rise for a total of three hours (3 rises) before baking. Gammy joined us for the festive meal and everything was delicious:

At the Drive-In
We are lucky to have a great drive-in theater about 35 minutes from here. Kevin and I went there on Thursday for a sneak preview of "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." The kids (especially Abby) were sad to miss it, but it was going to be too late on a school night. When our plans with Alex and Steph fell through for the weekend, Abby asked if we could go back to the drive-in with her and Benji, so off we went:
