They still have a Memorial Day appearance on the downtown mall, but this was Benji's last real band concert at CHS:

CHS celebrated its seniors with a decision day picnic. The kids took lots of pictures, although Benji has only been able to track down a few of them:

This is an annual fundraiser for the CHS band program. In past years we have volunteered on the course, but this year Kevin and I ran the race while Benji played with a quintet along the way:

It's been a tradition every year that the kid(s) pull a link for each day the last 3 weeks or so of school. We put the 2026 countdown chain up with 15 links on it and Benji has been steadily taking them down. Last day for Seniors is May 15th:
Benji, Lily and a teacher from CHS did two full afternoons of interviews in preparation for picking the new BACON leaders from last year - it's a big pool of candidates and some hard decisions!
Benji does not usually play on this one as it is during the school year, but as a second semester senior he decided he wanted to commit to Cville Band practices for the spring:

| Benji is all the way to the left. Playing with the band in the spring meant he got to participate in seat auditions for summer assignments, so this is his last concert in the third chairs. When the summer season starts, he will move up to play with the first chair clarinets. |
