A Little Rail Baron

After our trivia contest had a railroad question last week (that Kevin answered right because it was one of the rail lines in the game Rail Baron), Benji started asking if we could break the game out and have a family match. We set it up on a table downstairs because it takes a looooong time to play:

District Band Assessments

I was able to chaperone Walker's beginning band to their assessment at Fluvanna High School. It was fun to see them all dressed up and playing for the judges:

On Friday, Walker's band participated in district assessments. Ahead of this, they held a concert for parents of their assessment songs:

Snow Ice Cream

I put it on the bucket list this month, and luckily we got some snow.  It was pretty icy and did not make the best ice cream, but the kids still ate it:

The kids stayed home last week while Kevin and I visited Gammy in the hospital. When we got back, we found them like this. I think they were trying to make us laugh:

Mamma Mia!

Last Saturday, we planned an adult night out with our friends the Burmans. We did an Escape Room and then had dinner at Petit Pois:

Abby's friend Elisabeth told her mom we would be out, and Rebecca asked if she might take our kids to see Mamma Mia at the high school since they would be going. We had planned to go Sunday, but Abby was enthusiastuc about seeing it with friends, so off they went. Rebecca was kind enough to send a picture:
