We left Log Cabin and headed back to Port Angeles, which is where the main visitor center for Olympic is located. From there, it is a short drive up a mountain to Hurricane Ridge:

Some of the trails were closed for mountain goat management (!), so we chose sunrise point as our hike, which turned out to be fantastic:

On the way back down we took the inner loop, which had equally magnificent views:

From Hurricane Ridge, we started making our way towards Seattle. En route, we stopped in Sequim, which is known for its lavender farms. In addition to lunch and lavender-chocolate cupcakes, we stopped at Purple Haze farm to take in the lavender fields (and buy some souvenirs):
Next was Bainbridge Island, where we stopped for dinner and ice cream before catching the ferry to Seattle:
