Seattle, Day 2 (Market Tour, Museum of Pop Culture, Chihuly Glass Museum)

For our second (and last) day in Seattle, we had signed up for a chef-led tour of Pike Place market, which took most of the morning. From there, we walked a few blocks to get to the Museum of Pop Culture:

Both MoPop and the Chihuly museum are right by the space needle, so we got some nice views from outside

A Chihuly glass sculpture you could see from the outside

Even the outside of MoPop is cool and the train runs right through it

We started on the bottom floor of the museum with the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame:

Indiana Jones' hat

Iron Man's mask

X-Files Badges

Spock's tunic (the color has definitely faded over the years)

One of the Ring Wraith's swords from the Lord of the Rings

We moved on to the second floor, which had several musical exhibits, a video game inventors area, "Infinite Worlds of Science Fiction" and "Fantasy":

Professor McGonagall's Hat

By the time we got through Fantasy, we were pretty tired, but Abby was very excited about the third floor exhibit on Afrofuturism in costume design, which did end up being very cool:

All of these were costumes from actual movies

Black Panther

After we left MoPop, Abby and I still really wanted to see the Chihuly museum. The boys took a pass because it was expensive and they preferred a rest, but Abby and I loved every bit of this exhibit:

The outdoor space was amazing. We both agreed that being the person to pick the flowers to match the sculptures would be a cool job

We met some of Kevin's Dartmouth friends for a pizza dinner to finish off our Seattle time (I forgot to take a picture!).
