Travel Day #1

As seen on tv! We bought these go-go pillows that convert from a lap desk to an ipad holder to a neck pillow. The kids love, love, love them. Benji especially likes converting it back and forth:

We made the two-and-a half hour trip from Watkins Glen to Niagara Falls slowly, stopping first in Lockport, NY.  We took a cool Erie Canal and Underground Cave walking tour.  After hearing the history of the canal and watching the locks in action, we got to walk up through an actual pipe that was used by a factory on the canal and take an underground boat ride:

After Lockport, we meandered up to Lewiston, NY to check out the Robert Moses hydroelectric plant.  Just a week or two before the trip, Benji took a sudden interest in where electricity comes from and had asked it we could visit a power plant.  That was well-timed since there was one right on our route:

The kids made these ecards using a green screen

After the plant closed, we made our way to Niagara, NY, to pick up Gammy from the train and them up to Ontario for our visit to Niagara Falls. Those pictures tomorrow.
