We arrived in New York on Sunday night and relaxed with the family for the evening before setting out sightseeing in the city on Monday morning. We decided to concentrate on downtown Manhattan. We started at the 9/11 Memorial:
| Footprint of South Tower |
| Survivor Tree - you can see the damaged bark at the bottom part and the smooth new post 9/11 growth above |
We moved on to Trinity Church, and more specifically its beautiful graveyard:
| In front of Alexander Hamilton's tomb |
| Hercules Mulligan |
| And Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - we couldn't find Angelica |
From there, we found the Bull and girl statues:
And the stock exchange:
We finished our tour at Fraunces Tavern, where George Washington gave his final address to the troops, but I must not have taken any pictures there (whoops!)
