On Thursday, June 27th, Benji and I flew to Chicago-O'Hare, where Abby and Kevin picked us up in the early afternoon. Because traffic was heavy, we decided to head straight into downtown Chicago, rather than make our way to lodgings first. By consensus, we hit Millennium Park first to take in the Cloud Gate sculpture, which none of us had seen before:
At this point, we were ready for dinner and had to try Chicago style (deep dish) pizza. Benji was not a fan, but the rest of us liked it:
After dinner, we walked the Riverwalk to Navy Pier and rode the ferris wheel for the view of the skyline and Lake Michigan, before heading to Hyde Park where we were spending the night:
