Lakes Trip 2019: A Day in Hyde Park/Evanston

We decided not to head back into the city on Friday because there was a lot to see in the area we were staying. We made a quick stop to see President Obama's house (since he does not yet have an official presidential site) and to drive past the Museum of Science and Industry, which is the last surviving building from the Chicago World's Fair (it was the Expo Hall). After that, we headed to the University of Chicago campus, where we took in the Rockefeller Cathedral and Robie House, which is considered the preeminent Frank Lloyd Wright prairie-style home. We finished up in time for lunch and then made our way towards our next destination - Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with a stop at the Jelly Belly plant on the way:

They gave us hats! (and we were required to wear them)

And took us around on a train!

And there were giant inflatable jelly beans! (ok, those were the highlights - the tour actually was not amazing).
