Our road trip really started after the gathering in Lake Geneva as we set out for Michigan. We added a stop to Indiana Dunes National park (the newest national park) since we were literally driving right past it. We all agreed that it was our least favorite park, although it was hot, crowded and we did not explore it very fully. After the park, we drove into Michigan, stopping in cute little South Haven for dinner and then stopping for the night in Grand Haven:

After sunset and check-in, we headed back out to take in Grand Haven's musical fountain, which is the largest musical fountain in the world:
