Vacation 2024: Mark Twain House, Hanover, and first night in Killington

On Monday morning, we set off from New York, stopping first in Hartford to see the Mark Twain House and Museum:

We took a "living history" tour with a costumed interpreter who stayed in character as Twain's oldest daughter, Olivia

Carriage House

We had to skip the gift shop and part of the museum to hustle up to Dartmouth to meet Abby between her classes for lunch. I also gave her the birthday cookies we had for her, so she would have maximum time to enjoy them:

After a Target run, we dropped Abby off for her PE class and headed to our rental in Killington. The Choe-Stone crew arrived ahead of us and the Kayandes about an hour behind us, and we had pizza and made a campfire before the Lamy-Peterson crew arrived around 9:30pm.

The crew is finally all here!
