Vacation 2024: Portland, Maine and Fortune's Rocks

On Saturday, our one full day in Maine, we decided to explore the surrounding areas to Old Orchard Beach. We started in Portland at the Farmer's Market and then had brunch at a fun, eclectic (and tasty!) diner:

We ordered funfetti pancakes to share as an appetizer

After brunch, we headed south to Biddleton, where we heard they had quieter beaches where you could hunt sea glass. We chose Fortune's Rocks, which was delightful, although we did not find any sea glass:

By the late afternoon we were all gettign hungry, so we did a little internet searching and found a fun-looking brewery nearby. We were all tickled when we realized the elevator buttons were written in binary:

After dinner, we decided on a second game of mini golf at a different course, closer to our rental:

Kevin snapped this picture because he thought the light was really pretty

Abby got a hole in one

Both nights, the golf courses had a "mystery hole" where if you got a hole in one you got a prize. When we brought our card up, we were told my hole-in-one was on the mystery hole, so we got a free ice cream
