On our first night in Maine, we headed out to the Old Orchard Beach boardwalk area to take in the atmosphere, which was very much exuberant tourist destination, complete with a beach-side amusement park and seaside food venders. We had pizza and boardwalk fries, followed by giant cones before we made our way to the actual beach:
