We had one last morning in Acadia and we saved the two biggest attractions (both accessible by car, therefore good for a morning when we did not want to sweat). We started by driving up to the top of Cadillac mountain, which has a 360 degree view of the park:

After driving down the mountain, we headed towards Bass Harbor Lighthouse, which is at the exact other end of the park. We made a quick stop when we saw a sign for homemade blueberry pie and then visited the harbor:

From the lighthouse, we set off towards New Hampshire, making a dinner stop in Augusta, where we got to view the outside of the state house (it was just closing and they did not let us peek inside):

The sun was setting as we drove into the White Mountains and it was a beautiful end to the day:
